I think there are a couple ideas getting worked together, whether they
were supposed to be or not, I can't tell.
1. Linux Demo Day
"Show it off to anyone and everyone."
Getting a loc and all is good, but how do you let the public know.
Most of the people here know what Linux is, so it would not be a huge
help just talking about it here. Also, what would make this different
from like what was done, I think last month, at the meeting where there
were just machines set up for people to see? What would make this
special becides having a more public location? I am by no means saying
it is a bad idea (I like the idea), but how do you let people know they
can come chek it out? Flyers? Newspaper ads? Get a corporate sponcer
and do TV commercials? Call all the local TV and Radio stations and ask
for it to be mentioned on any public calandars?
I would say you would need to give at least a month to be able to get it
on any and all calandars like in the Met and the Observer and local talk
shows or morning shows.
2. Code that game in 24hrs or less.
that other item. I personally think this should not be at the same
location and time as the LDD from above.
