That's interesting for Linux users - but boring for Joe Q. Public.

You announce that a bunch of lunatics are going to set a world
record and try to write a computer game in 24 hours!

You set that up in the place where the most computer users are
likely to be gathered in one place on a Saturday morning. The
foyer at Fry's (if they'll let us do that).

I think we could get local TV coverage for such an event.

The *only* point in doing such a crazy thing would be precisely
to get people to stop and look instead of being annoyed by
someone with a Penguin on his T-shirt giving you a flier.

Create a media event...make people stop and look. Make them
WANT to find out more. Have a guy composing music for the
game. Let people play the half-finished thing on a huge
projection TV borrowed from the store...let them know that
they are helping us out by "play-testing" the new game.

So the "two" ideas become one. We do something to make a
big media splash - and then having got people suckered into
listening to us, we hit them with serious information advice,
whatever to promote Linux.
