I too have been looking into DSL for the house. According to GTE I must
pick my ISP from their list. Most of the DSL able ISP's are really just
reselling the LEC's line with the ISP's system as the internet gateway.
In case you need it here is the current list of GTE DSLable ISP's. I
don't know anything about them so this is not an endorsement.
