I want to thank everyone who responded to my question on the failure of the
Iomega Easy 800 floppy tape drive, that failed to function after an upgrade
from RH 5.2 to RH 6.0.
The problem was not having the zftape module loaded. After I did a:
insmod zftape
All my /dev/ftape stuff started working again. What's the best way to get
this module to load
automaticly at boot? Or is it best just to recompile the kernel with zftape
support?
Either way I am so glad to have you folks who are willing to help. This
list is the
backbone of Linux support, and all the Windoze people need to know that
when they say Linux is without support. I dare say that I would still be
hanging
if I posted the same kind of problem to M$.
God Bless you all.
