Howdy from Fort Worth!
I have been reading my subscription to discuss off and on for weeks.
I am not able to go to the meetings since I work most weekends and have pledged never to set foot again in Dallas.
I have hit a brick wall. I was determined to learn about Linux by reading the documentation first then "call" for support.
Can anyone guess that I work for a support desk?
I am running Redhat 5.1, kernel 2.0.34
I have a cable modem connection to @home, Charter.
I also run win98 and Mac0S 8 on 2 other machines.
My desire is to use IP masquerading to allow all 3 machines to share 1 IP address.
I got the cable modem running.
In fact 2 machines using 2 different IP address connected to the little D-Link hub use it.
I ran the RPMs to upgrade the kernel to 2.0.36 as required by the IPMasquerading How-To.
I compiled the kernel to support the listing in said doc.
I cannot count how much time, reading, compiles, and installs I have done.
I have come to the conclusion that I am not just being thorough I am also being anal and arrogant.
So there it is.
Will someone please help me out!
This project has turned into more than one and has exhausted me!
