I set up a similar system for a friend of mine, but I used IP-FORWARDING
not IP-MASQUERADING. His Linux PC effectivly has 2 NIC's in it. One
for connection to the 'net (actually he uses PPP) and the other goes
into
a hub which connects with WinX and MAC. We set up a private network for
the stuff on the hub (10.1.1.X), and told WinX & MAC to use the Linux
PC's
10.1.1.X address as their gateway/router.
