[NTLUG:Discuss] Someone needs to do a parody of this Spam...

I just received the following. On the one hand it's a bit of an
ego boost that they apparently thought my web site was pretty good,
although "they may tell that to *all* the girls..."
Some of it displays such a degree of cluelessness about Linux that it
is amazing...
I rather think that someone needs to either:
a) Write a parody based on it, or
b) Send it forth with parodic commentary.
For instance:
"The magazine provides a voice for Linux enthusiasts tired of the bland,
shallow reporting exhibited in other Linux magazines."
Read: "*This* magazine will provide hard-hitting full-color graphics on
every page, establishing vastly superior marketing opportunities in the
13-17 age range than are offered by those other magazines."

Hello,
The Maximum Linux Network would like to offer you an opportunity to join one
of the web's most exciting partnerships. And you were specially chosen as a
potential partner in this ambitious project, based on the outstanding web
site you produce and the service you provide.
A division of the international FutureNet operation, the Maximum Linux
Network takes it name from its key affiliate, Maximum Linux Magazine. The
magazine provides a voice for Linux enthusiasts tired of the bland, shallow
reporting exhibited in other Linux magazines. The Maximum Linux Network
expands that voice.
If you meet our criteria and decide to join, the Maximum Linux Network
will:
- Direct our top-notch, experienced sales staff to sell advertising across
your inventory.
- Develop creative and lucrative techniques to display compelling
advertising other than banners on your site.
- Commission regular marketing studies to better sell your site's unique
advantages.
- Drive tightly targeted traffic to your regularly updated content.
- Promote your site with network-wide banners.
- Provide a powerful network-wide search engine that includes your content.
- Promote your site with magazine ads, online advertising outside the
Network, and other media.
- Analyze your web logs and provide a report that maps out traffic on your
site, telling you where your visitors come from, what pages they visit, and
how long they stay.
New tools and programs are being developed every day and the Maximum Linux
Network is working hard to be the definitive source for power-users the
world over.
We'll be in touch with you over the next few days with details on the next
phase in our affiliate evaluation process, but in the meantime, feel free to
contact me directly with any questions you may have about the Network.
