[NTLUG:Discuss] Help on replacing My Wingate Server.

I currently have a server that I dual boot with Windoze 98 and
Red Hat 6.0. I have been trying to do away with the Win98 partition
but I have to come up with a replacement for what Wingate 3.0 is
doing. I have tried reading books on IP Masqurading, NAT and
other things. There seems to be alot of assumed setup items that
I am not aware of. I think the lack of understanding route may be
my problem. I am trying to use DIALD as my auto dialer to emulate
the dialup adapter that Windoze has and it wants to configure as a
Sl0 interface. DIALD basicly dials up the modem when its Slip interface
sees a packet. Once the modem is dialed up the ISP it hands control
to the PPPD app. I have been able to get DIALD to work and get PPPD
to handshake with my ISP.
I have static IP addresses assigned to my Windoze workstations (4ea) and

they point to a server that is at address 192.168.0.254. My other IP's
are in the lower range starting at 192.168.0.2 and ending at .40.
I need to know in great detail what files to edit, how to configure
these files
and any other details that need to be looked at. I also need further
information
on how to get IPCHAINS configured in a secure way to pass the
packets through my server to my ISP.

Thanks ahead!
