TJ Bell,
Pissing people off is the last thing I wanted to do. I made the first
post offering the Stripling & Cox location sometime the first of
last week.

The first posting was almost completely ignored, although there
was a lot of talk about a Best Buy location. I thought no one cared
about a dept. store location next to Best Buy, and I have to admit
it seems like a better fit to me to. But I guess that fell through, so I
waited a couple of days and posted another. The response I got
was laughable, and as of tonight the S&C location has been pulled
from me as well.

To answer your question:
>Am I the only one who sees something _WRONG_ here??
The answer is no, there is something_WRONG_here, but
it has nothing to do with 2 days of notice. I thought that the
NTLUG would offer to get us some give away CD's, T Shirts, and
pamphlets, or something.

But I AM NOT BLAMING the failure of this thing solely on them,
but except for the three people that have stepped up in the last two
days (and Brian Finley with VA Research who offered to get me
one and maybe two systems to use) NO ONE HAS SHOWED
ANY INTEREST at all.

I'm sorry you felt I wasn't being fair with the amount of notice given
but, after going to bat for Demo Day with the GM of S&C to get
clearance and then selling it to the store manager at North Hills Mall,
I'm the one left with egg on his face. The bottom line is, no one
asked me to do it, I brought this on myself, I'm not mad at anyone
I guess I'm just a little disappointed.

As a friend of mine would say, I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Maybe next year. Linux is still the greatest OS in the world, and
NTLUG is still the best.
GOD Bless everyone. We tried.

You may be able to kill two birds with one stone, but in the end when it's
all over, all you really have are two dead birds, and your short one stone.
Hummmmmm
