I know how you feel about it being pulled from you...Best Buy was pulled
from me. (After teasing me for two weeks saying "i think so, maybe - I
have to check with corporate")

I wasn't referring to the 2 days notice, I realized that after I sent it
that it sounded that way...what I was referring to was the trend of the
entire Linux Demo Day project, and also to the general attitude I
percieved - "'Someone' should do this, 'someone' should do that", then a
_few_ people doing something only to have the project ignored again.

As am I.

That all depends on who you are calling "we"

I final note and then I'll shut up: I would like to thank each and
every person who has attempted to find a location for this to happen. I
would also like to thank those who were willing to tear down their
machines and take it over there as well as those who spoke with companys
such as VA Reasearch about getting computers from them. I don't know
who all tried, but my hat's off to ya if you did! Linux Demo Day didn't
happen this year, but maybe we can get our act together for next year.
Oh, and the 24hr game can happen at any time...there's no date for that
one - email Steve Baker (sjbaker1 at airmail.net) if you wanna do it!!
PLEASE!!
