When then-TCI at home started service in parts of the Dallas area, they
were offering static IP's. About a year ago, when I checked into
service, they adviced me they were switching over to DHCP-assigned
addresses, and that static IP's would no longer be available. I wonder
if some of the folks who say they've received static IP's within the
past year aren't just getting the same address via DHCP leasing. I
mean, do you really think @home is telling these folks, "Here's a static
IP address for you..."?
