Actually, what you'll want to look for is options for 'encrypted
password' or 'Send password encrypted'. I'm sure someone will
tell you exactly where to push this button, but MSWin98 does try
to send passwords encrypted by default in many more places than
95. What you want to do is get rid of any places where it's
sending the password encrypted, since Linux expects it in
plain text. Alternatively, you can set up Linux to expect an
encrypted password, which is more complicated.
