[NTLUG:Discuss] Quick samba question

I had a problem like this, but was more like my windows clients could not find
the samba server.

The config worked great until the internet connection went down. this stumped
me for a long time. I finally found out that my DNS server was causing the
samba server to time out name look ups... I am not really great at digging
into samba yet, but that is my guess on what was happening.

My fix was to add "recursion no" to the /etc/named.conf.
You might need to look and see what is causing a delay in getting client
information.
