:Just purchased a BAD from Fry's 17.5GB. I have two 4GB Win98 partisions,
:and was going to give the rest to RH 6.0. I am using Disk Druid the drive
:Geom. is:
:Cyl = 2100	Heads = 255	Sec = 63
:
:It shows : Used = 8001	Free = 8471
:
:And this is right, but when I try to create a 500MB "/" partision it tells me:
:
:/	Not enough free space 500M/NA
:
:As we speak I am searching the LDP for answers but I'm not sure what to
:look for other than "Installing Linux On A Large Disk". If anyone has
:climbed this hill before please shed some light. It's hard to think that
:with all the new things with Linux there is a drive limit.
:
:
:You may be able to kill two birds with one stone, but, in the end when it's
:all over, all you really have are two dead birds, and your short one stone.

i'd suggest reading the "Large Disk" mini-HOWTO. it will help you
through this and tell you why large drives are a problem in the first
place. jic, here's a link to one copy of it:
