No, hdimage has to represent your dos install. When last I tried it, the
initial setup expects a dos bootable diskette. If you want to access your
installed dos, you have to configure it. See the dosemu-HOWTO.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] dosemu trouble

I've recently had Red Hat 6.0 installed at LIP. The fellow who did it
did a custom install, and included DOSEMU at my request because I want
to use it.

When I tried DOSEMU I got this error message:
/var/lib/dosemu/global.conf:641
Error in /var/lib/dosemu/hdimage.first doesn't exist
1 error detected while parsing the configuration-file

It appears /var/lib/dosemu/hdimage.first must be put on the hard disk
from the install CD.

Do I just copy it using cp? Like I would use copy in DOS?

Thanks, Chuck
