I've been researching PC/TV convergence for a while now. There are really no
good solutions for VGA to NTSC onverters.
You have a choice between getting a high-res "digital" TV with VGA inputs
($2500-$20000) or a video card with TV-out.
Of course, NTSC out, even with an expensive card with s-video connectors is
pretty second-rate.
Better to wait for cards (like GeForce256 or Sigma Designs Netstream 2000) with
HDTV-out and component connections - a few months away.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Displaying Video on TV
I am looking for a something that will convert the output
from a VGA port on a Linux or Solaris boxes to a TV. I
bought the TVator Exec by Antec for $100, as it doesn't
use Software, but it looks pretty bad. Can anyone
recommend something better that's under $200?
Thanks,
Bill Shupp
