Ack!   I spoke too soon.

The stuff they had on the floppy was DANGEROUSLY bad!
They had an entire new 'config.in' for a kernel rebuild.

If you followed their instructions, you'd screw up your
kernel beyond belief!   Yikes!

However, it did let me know that their DE-528CT is really
just a Realtek RTL8029 - which in turn is just an NE2000
clone - which is described in the driver sources like
this:

   /* Ack! People are making PCI ne2000 clones!
      Oh the horror, the horror... */

...so it works with the standard SuSE ne2kpci driver - but
it goes back to Fry's anyway  :-(

Oh well - I guess you get what you pay for ($14!).
