These are not large drives, they are old drives, an 8GB and a 4 GB EIDE.
Remember, these were on a working system with RH 6.0 before I tried to
install a new linux version.  The original failure took place with no new
hardware or bios changes.  I ordered a new drive for another machine, so I'll
try that on the problem machine when it arrives. Oh, BTW, I forgot to add
that Windows 98 also fails to install.
