[NTLUG:Discuss] SuSE install on a Packard-Bell (yech)

  I've installed on pentium packard's and 486's, but had failures with the
panasonic.  I think it should be treated like an old sony cd, or one of
the creative labs.   Nothing will break if you try various other drivers
and they fail to work.  It only costs some time.

  Alternatively, a newer el cheapo ($30 give or take) cd rom can be put in
and attached to the hard drive cable and be used for the install.
