There's also WAV & MIDI & RealAudio & ... Each has different requirements, so you'll need
to give us more detail to help you.

If this is what you're after, check out the utility "cdrecord". Part of it's
documentation is a list of burners known to work. In general, if it's SCSI, it'll work;
many ATAPI burners will too, but see the list before buying. If you get stuck, there was
an article in Linux Journal a few months back about this, or I can share my "mkcd" script
(which is mostly just a call to "mkisofs" then to "cdrecord" as the docs instruct).
