crippling to provide a lower price point without dropping prices

Well, I doubt you'd notice that much speed difference in normal
use...sounds like this is a good deal.

With the V1's and V2's, there was a config variable to allow you
to overclock the card's core clock.  If that's available for the
V3, you might want to try it.  I'm not normally a fan of overclocking,
but in this case it could be justified.

For Voodoo-1, the variable was 'SST_GRXCLK' - I'm fairly sure it's
SSTV2_GRXCLK on Voodoo-2 but I don't *think* it's SSTV3_GRXCLK for V3...
that would be just *too* logical.  Anyway, I'm sure you can track that
down on the web somewhere.

Yes - it'll certainly do that.

I know the 3000 and 3500 have a couple of extra goodies like
TV outputs and stuff - probably more RAM and somewhat higher
clock rates.  That'll be on http://www.3dfx.com
