[NTLUG:Discuss] modprobe ppa says that parport is busy

  in the newer zips, you need the imm module.  you need to do a "modprobe
ppa" in order to load all the modules in the right order.  try doing a
modprobe imm while in terminal screen number 1 (press ctrl-alt-f1 when in
x windows, log in as root, and do the modprobe statements.  you will get
more information that can help us diagnose the problem.
