This may indeed be the situation. I looked in /etc/rc.d/init.d and found nfs, but
not nfsd. Does that mean that it's a kernel NFS? Either way, it still isn't
working. I checked and rpc.portmap is running. rpc.nfsd was not, so I started the
daemon.
When I issue the mount command, here's how it replys...
mount mtsinai:/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
mount: RPC: Program not registered.
My objective: I have a unit without a CD, I need to install software from a CD, so
I'm attempting to serve the CD to the unit without. Seemed like an appropriate
thing to do.

I'm still in the learning curve on COAS, maybe I should compile linuxconf instead.
