Just check the RH 6.2 hardware list for compatible scsi cards. I would
limit my search to Adaptec cards because they are the industry standard and
tend to setup right out of the box. Identify several models then determine
if they have the connector you need and is in your price range. You can go
to the adaptec website to check card specs. I don't know about umax, but
with hp you don't want a card faster than an ultra scsi for stability. Its
really as easy as matching a RH compatible card with your connection type.
Again I suggest staying with adaptec, not so much from a redhat point of
view, but from a system board point of view. Haven't found a system board
yet that won't accept an adaptec card. Many other cards are supported by
redhat, but your system board may not like them right out of the box or at
all.
