Can anyone shed any light on this one?

Compaq Prosignia 165 Laptop: Red Hat Linux 6.2
#> date returns the correct time and date, and indicates GMT-6, (I am in
the Central Time Zone of the USA)
Time Machine (in the Control Panel) shows correct time and date
Time and date display on "Task Bar" is correct
Time and date stamp in email message is correct
Time and date stamp in email Inbox list is NOT correct.

According to our Mail administrator:
"...if I view full headers I can see the correct time between the
servers, i.e. 21:29 which is military time for 9:29 PM, however in the
inbox your message shows up as 9:29 AM -- exactly 12 hours off.""

Also she says..."You may want to experiment with the TIMEZONE file and
see if it is set
correctly to -0600 (or Central Standard Time), i.e. TZ=CST6CDT (flavors
may vary)
Timezone = Central Standard Time 6(hours off of GMT) w/ Central Daylight
Savings Time used."

Although I know what the TIMEZONE file is (seen it on different flavors
of UNIX), I don't see one on this machine.
