[NTLUG:Discuss] AT&T@Home redux

I am wondering if there is something new they (AT&T) are setting up with
new neighborhoods. I keep hearing about this, but have never had this
problem with my cable modem and have yet to actually see this happen in
person.
NOTE: I am not saying this isn't a real issue, just saying I haven't seen
it first hand.
Which cable modem is being used there?
I heard talk that some places are getting upgraded to the Cisco (don't
remember the model) instead of, or from the Motorola (don't remember this
model either).
