Call the 800-be-a-geek people internet america. It sound like swb is feeding 
you a line, which they have been caught at many times before. The only thing 
swb would neeed to install is the modem-thing/hardware. The connection would 
be to your isp and internet america hasn't got a problem with *ix users.

With all ?dsl providers the system is setup with a telco service and an isp 
service. Many people at the telcos just like to steer you to their sister isp 
inspite of that being something people can complaint to the PUC about.

Well maybe the dsl-modem they want you get comes with windows software for 
configuration. If their tech can come and do it, all you probably need is a 
good set of docs.
