Check out www.bpmicro.com - I have one of their rs-232 boxes, and it works
reasonably well. Mine is somewhat older, and the device type list could
be longer - I think that is more the fault of the age of the burner than
with BP Micro.
What I really liked about it was the price, which was quite affordable.
Can't remember how much, but definitely lower cost, and it never gave me
any trouble.
My burner is a serial port interface, and generates text menus I've used
from minicom. However, it looks like some of the new BP Micro programmers
require Windows. Arg. What a disappointment - perhaps they still have
more flexible interfaces available.
