I usually use vi, but in major development efforts this becomes painful.
Coffeecup is slick with some java and javascripting, screem is promising for
gnome desktop and web server maintenance, Quanta for kde2 is popular. I like
netscape composer for the wysiwyg, but it's just html. It all depends on how
much you want to do. The very best in integration and functionality is php.

Not trying to be a smart-alec here, but what about pico, vi, emacs, etc?
That's what I use for all my html coding. Yes, the apps give some nice
features, but, IMHO, nothing beats a straight text editor.
