Hi,
I'm having a strange problem in my internal network.
I have a PC (desktop), with two ethernet cards
192.168.1.1 and 65.10.23.24) that I'm using as IP-MASQ
gateway. IP-MASQ seems to work fine, as I can browse
the Internet from both my desktop and my latptop
(192.168.1.10). FTP from both the machines to a
machine on the outside network (for e.g. from
ftp.redhat.com) works fine too. But ftp between
192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.10 doesn't work. I can
connect to the ftp server, login, do ls, and start
get/put, and then the data transfer hangs after 2K or
4K bytes has been transfered.
I'm running RH 7 (2.2.16 kernel) on both the machines.
I switched the roles of .1 and .10 (i.e ran the server
on the other machine, and tried FTPing), but problem
still remains. FTP from each of the machines to
itself, works fine too.
I tried beroftpd, wu-ftpd, and proftpd, none of them
work. So, I believe now that it's nothing to do with
the FTP daemon.
I'm suspecting that one of the timeouts could be
causing this, as I can succesfully transfer smaller
files (<10K) without any problem.
Any ideas on what could be happening here?
thanks,
-Tirumal
