[NTLUG:Discuss] Mounting a Logical drive

Can someone tell me if it is possible to mount a logical drive that
resides in an extended partition?  I have compiled my kernel to read
NTFS partitions, but when I try to mount /dev/hdd2 I am asked if I am
actually trying to mount a logical partition in an extended partition.
I am, but I do not understand what it is requiring me to do to get to
the partition I am seeking to access.  Thanks, Dennis in Waco
