I have nothing but good things to say about AT&T @Home cable in NE Dallas
(Rowlett). I started service 08/2000 and experienced my first down time
about two weeks ago, when the mail server was down for about 3 hours. This
service is SOLID.

I also know of an individual in Plano with AT&T @Home, she's had nothing
but trouble in her apartment complex. Bottomline, I think it has everything
to do with the cable in your neighborhood, and facility.

I have also heard horror stories about cable-based broadband service,
although where I am this wasn't an option.

I'm using Earthlink as my ISP, and they've been pretty good thus far.
