I've been using ReiserFS for over two years now and have never had a
need for maual intervention in all that time. At first, I didn't format
the /boot partition as Reiser, leaving it ext2. After zillions (tm) of
Reiser-only installs (mostly Mandrake), I don't even use ext2 at all any
more.
I learned the hard way to keep the filesystems sync'ed in order to avoid
fscking around all day with broken filesystems.

Yep, the partitions are up and running as quickly as the ReiserFS
process is started. Good stuff (and better than NTFS).......
