The instructor is probably an NT bigot: he should probably said
something like ``fewer people are writing CGI scripts now, as more are
writing ASP pages using VBScript or Javascript.'' That would be closer
to the truth.

At the shop I used to work in, they recently went IIS, and refused to
install Perl. So, I was forced to convert several Perl scripts to
ASP/VBScript.

NT bigots view ASP/VBScript as so nifty that they ignore the benefits
of Perl. (Such as not having to rewrite everything.)
