You could be seeing an autonegotiate missmatch. It's very common on SUN
machines, and I've seen it on PCs before also. Characteristics are sucky
throughput and high CRC errors. you can check by forcing both the switchport
and the NIC to the same settings. It doesn't matter what as long as both are
the same. If your CRCs clear up it's an autonegotiate problem.
