I've got a Linux "server" that runs a medium sized phone switch
(~1500 lines / ~60,000 calls per day) that has been up over a year:

[root at switch-0-b /root]# uptime
  9:09am up 369 days, 18:04, 10 users, load average: 0.87, 0.91, 0.90

This system is running over 120 processes and during peak calling times
is often using 75% of the CPU. It is (still) running RedHat 5.2
