Geez... not that question again...
I used to have DSL because there was no option for cable where I was living.
Now I have cable with no DSL options. They are both about the same except
that I had a GREAT deal more reliability with ADSL when I had it... that was
until something interfered with the DSL service and performance was degraded
tremendously.
When they work, they work. Cable has a higher potential for performance
though. For me reliability is most important followed closely by speed.
Weigh in the purposes and uses of the net for you and shop around. I can't
really say that one is better than the other except that cable imposes some
restrictions and crap that I never experienced with ADSL through Internet
America. (I experienced a different variety of crap with Internet America.)
No one offers "ideal service" because there is always something isn't there?
