A lot of folks have mentioned August.net. They may be technically savvy, but
will they be around a couple of years down the road?
Last week on dfw.internet.providers, the President of August.net, in the
context of complaining about SW Bell's dsl policies, said, in a message
entitled "SBC is squeezing us out of the DSL business":
> "We at August.Net do not know if we can continue to offer DSL through SBC
> under this new arrangement. Since there isn't much competition left this
> may just squeeze us out of the DSL business altogether. It's a good thing
> T1 lines are getting so cheap!"
Too bad I'm not in the market for a T1.
