(1) What kind of mail client and or settings are you using that (a)
causes my mail client and browser to shutdown when I try to reply,
and/or (b) doesn't allow the reply to quote your message?

I am willing to: (a) accept that I don't know the law well enough, (b)
bow to your superior opinion in the case of the automobile, and (c)
accept that my analogy was flawed.

In your opinion, would you bankroll the case against Microsoft with your
own money?
Would you advise anyone else to do so?
Do you think Microsoft would want to settle out of court?
Unless the answer to all three is a loud resounding "yes", I have other
stuff to do.

Incidentally, I voted against Microsoft by buying Linux for my personal
use - boxes sets, 8 times so far, across 3 vendors - and I am a thorn at
work because none of the systems (servers, desktops, or laptops) that I
have control over run any Microsoft products - they are all Unix and
Linux. Personally I think that is the most effective and productive way
to handle the problem - I feel good about it, Microsoft doesn't have my
money, and I am supporting my choice of OS's and applications.

<SOAPBOX_PITCH>

Stand up and be counted!
Throw Microsoft out of your life and
support Linux at the same time!

Granted it isn't all that simple, but it is a start, isn't it?
