I've been upgrading my SuSE systems using the provided installer for several
revisions of the OS without significant problems - I don't see installation
or upgrading as a problem anymore.

Plus (as should be pointed out whenever this question arises), installing
Linux on a bare machine - or a machine that's pre-installed with Windoze
is a LOT easier than installing Windoze on a bare machine or (worse still)
a machine running Linux.

People who talk about "Linux being hard to install" are comparing the
exercise with unpacking a Compaq machine with Windoze already installed
and turning it on.

At work, we bought a bunch of PC's from Polywell with SuSE pre-installed
and (of course) we just plugged them in and up came KDE.

Installation difficulty has to be an apples-and-apples comparison.
