depends on your distribution. if your distribution used a package manager
to install stuff, then you use the same package manager to uninstall stuff.
what distribution are you running?

How would I go about identifying unused programs and files and stuff? What is the proper procedure to uninstall programs in linux? I am wanting to clear some disk spce, and I know I probably do not need a lot of whats in there. Thanks
