There is a keyboard emulator for the touch screen on the 'Agenda' PDA
(which runs Linux and Xfree) - the software for that is under GPL - so
you should be able to find the sources somewhere.

More than that (like where, specifically, you need to look - or how it
attaches to the keyboard driver, etc)...I don't know.  Your starting point
should be http://www.agendacomputing.com

Could be a long search though.
