[NTLUG:Discuss] Very basic DSL questions

running linux as a router/firewall has it's advantages.

It's REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hard to beat the little linksys
router/firewall though. It's super tiny, quiet, and cool.
Can't say that about many PCs. When I was testing it, I had
it sitting in the gap behind my entertainment center and
my DSL Drop.

I am running a linux box as my router because I wanted a
24/7 DNS and some better filtering/forwarding. I've also
been running linux since 95. If I was a newbie.... I'd
definiltly be running the linksys thingie.
