[NTLUG:Discuss] Very basic DSL questions

I have DSL through SWBell here in Greenville (just moved from Omaha, it
suprised me I could get DSL _and_ Cable here).

I was checking into using Coyote Linux, an offshoot of the Linux Router
Project, on the P75 I bought for $35 at a computer show. However, it's
beeping at me (long beep, motherboard or power supply, so its probably
dead). When I created the Coyote disk, I got the following:

- Firewall
- DHCP Server
- Identd Server

All of this on one floppy (based on kernel 2.2.19). It supports PPPoE as
well.

Seems to me a cheap 486 or Pentium box, a bit of memory, a hub, and two NIC
Cards _might_ be cheaper if you like to trade parts around.

Jason
