Man...where's the love?

Maybe it's a local Linux user frustrated with having to use this in an 
emergency. Maybe it's a cosmic opportunity for good karma to show mercy 
on the other side, maybe...ok, it's a weird place to ask.

The poster would be better off just dealing with Dell if he recently 
bought it although I guess you could also toss in:


3. Not using Iomega.

on the list. Might be different now, but they didn't exactly have the 
highest reputation for quality control a few years back.

There could be a lot of issues. How does it run when you're using a 250 
MB disk or another 100 MB disk? Backwards compatability on those 100 MB 
disks may not be good, that particular tape could be bad, your drive 
could be whacked, WinME may be feeling cranky, etc. Between the hardware 
and software possibilities, you're better off getting that support for 
Dell that they pride themselves on.
