What's your definition of 'My path'. 

Libraries are searched in the normal, execute path. 

You need to have a /etc/ld.so.conf entry and run 
ldconfig if you make a change to the /etc/ld.so.conf file.


or it could be an RPM dependancy. You can use --nodeps to 
ignore any RPM dependancies.
