[NTLUG:Discuss] How do I connect up a domain name to my IP address?

I was almost sure this was asked and replied to some time ago - but I
could find it so I'll ask again.

I have my brand shiney new static IP address (thanks to SWBell) and so
I went over to one of the domain registry sites and registered a domain
name...I was expecting that at the end of the form-filling, credit card
number stuff, it would ask me what IP address this domain name should point
at - but there wasn't.

Can someone explain to me how I connect the domain name to the IP address so
the world can find me?
