Usually just removing the offending message with a text editor will cure the
problem. The magic line looks something like:

>From ???@??? Mon Jul 31 20:29:01 2000

That'll be the first line of the message. Delete that line of the offending
message, to the same line of the next message (excluded), and your life might
get back to normal. As always, backup before you cut.

By the way, if anyone knows of a good mbox -> Maildir conversion utility I'd
like to see it. I currently use Maildir for storage of incoming mail, but
then I use Kmail to pop it out to mbox.

I found mutt wanting in the ease of use category, and stuff that requires
both fetchmail and procmail to read from my multitude of accounts is really
annoying (especially since I've never found a good tutorial on regular
expressions and so have no clue how they work).

In a related vein, a pointer to a Gnome or KDE client that supports Maildir
would also be most appreciated. Console isn't a problem, but as I said, mutt
didn't tickle my fancy, and I hate Pine.
