[NTLUG:Discuss] Lilo won't remap new kernel (2.4.13)

Hi Aaron.
I HAVE been doing make modules; make modules_install.
The machine in question is a laptop, with a pcmcia 10/100 NIC. Because I start some large server class applications on it on occasion (part of my job), I can't
afford to have memory that is not in use being tied up. (I did not make my swap space big enough at the start, so memory management is actually an issue for me
right now).
So this brings me back to the question, how do I figure out what is going on with these modules and fix it?
Btw, it works fine on my laptop with the original install (SuSe 7.1, kernel 2.4.0), but there is some serious memory leakage on our servers, hence the need for
an upgrade.
I will have a look at the HOW-To's.
