hmmm ... I still use my 12 year old Panasonic KX-1191 and just
dump plain old ascii text at it. -- no filter --

Nothing like that is really ever lost lost -- check ibiblio

As before, simply using NO filter should turn the trick -- the
older RH filters were a shell script which did a plain
passthru when no postscript or PCL header was found ...

except for N-part NCR paper forms, and specialty continuous 
form, as with MICR encoded checks ...
